Coaching Staff

Head Coach

Ed Corridori

​

Coach Ed Corridori is in his first year as the Head Basketball Coach at Lakewood High School. Coach Corridori graduated from the United States Air Force Academy (1996) with a Bachelor of Science in Management. He also holds a Master of Arts in Physical Education from the University of Northern Colorado. While serving on Active Duty, Coach Corridori began his coaching career (1998) at Doherty HS in Colorado Springs, CO. He continued to serve as an USAF Reservist until he retired in 2016. Although this is Coach Corridori's first season as Lakewood High School's Boys' Varsity Basketball Coach, he is no stranger to the Jefferson County Basketball Conference. He coached the Columbine HS L3 Team (2007-15) and most recently the Dakota Ridge JV Team (2017-23), helping the Varsity teams to 2 league championships and 2 appearances in the Great 8. Coach Corridori was a 3-year Varsity starter at Agoura High School in Southern CA, earning 1st Team All Ventura County and All L.A. Times 2nd Team as a senior. He played on the USAFA Junior Varsity team from 1992-94 and was voted Team Captain during the 93-94 season. In 2019, Coach Corridori gave up the ghost after competing in the Salem, OR 3v3 Hoopla Tournament and winning the Consolation Bracket. His wife could not be happier! Coach Corridori works for Lockheed Martin, Missiles and Fire Control as a Multi-Functional Engineering and Science Manager. In 2001, Coach Corridori and his wife have four boys: Vincent, Gino, Josephine, and Matthew.

Assistant Varsity Coach

Brandon Wilson

Coach Brandon Wilson is the Assistant Varsity Coach for Lakewood High School. Coach Wilson comes to Lakewood after spending 3 years coaching at the college level as an assistant at Western Colorado University. Wilson played collegiately at Fort Lewis College where he started 61 games in two seasons, helping the Skyhawks win an RMAC Championship in 2018 and reach the NCAA Tournament twice (2017 and 2018). Wilson averaged 9.6 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game during his time with the Skyhawks. Before Fort Lewis, Wilson spent his first two years of college basketball at Otero Junior College, helping the Rattlers to a Region IX South championship in 2016. Wilson finished his college career with a record of 93-34, starting 123 games of 125 games played. Originally from Littleton, Colorado, Wilson played basketball at Columbine High School.

Junior Varsity Coach

Rudy Rodriguez

Coach Rudy Rodriguez is in his first year as Head Junior Varsity coach at Lakewood after spending the previous six years as an assistant coach at Dakota Ridge High School. Coach Rodriguez is originally from San Antonio, TX. He began coaching basketball at age 17 and helped run youth summer basketball programs for Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio. Cach Rodriguez graduated from The University of Nevada Las Vegas and soon thereafter moved to Colorado, where he married his wife Kelly. They have two boys, Adam and Alex.

Level 3 Coach

Ben Engler

Coach Engler grew up in Lakewood and graduated from Lakewood High School in 2006. He loves giving back to his community and to the High School that he attended. This will be Coach Engler's 4th season coaching Basketball. Coach Engler married his high school sweetheart, Dannielle, in 2016; she also coaches and leads the softball program at Lakewood High School. Ben and Dannielle are new parents; they welcomed their beautiful daughter Rylee into the world in April.
